On the 10th October, Maidstone Grammar School will be undertaking reassessment for the Quality in Careers (QiC) Award.

Quality in Careers is a national quality standard for the management of careers education, information, advice and guidance in schools. Maidstone Grammar School has held this award since 2012. The Award is reassessed every 3 years.

All Quality in Careers Award holders have demonstrated a commitment to provide impartial, independent careers education, information, advice and guidance to all young people. This is one of the highest accolades an organisation can receive for excellence in this area of work. The QiC standard is about improving students’ awareness of opportunities, raising their aspirations and working with them to ensure they achieve their full potential.

On the reassessment day, an external assessor will spend the day in school looking at the school careers programme. They will meet with key members of staff and students.

Please contact Mrs Acaster (Careers Leader) if you have any questions about the Quality in Careers Award
