Maidstone Grammar School Consultation on Admission Arrangements for September 2023
In accordance with the Department for Education’s School Admissions Code, Maidstone Grammar School is now consulting on changes to the School’s Admission Arrangements for September 2023.
There is no change to the criteria for entry into Year 7, the changes relate to the Sixth Form, not in terms of the entry criteria but in terms of the selection process (highlighted in bold italics on the sixth form admissions criteria).
This consultation must take place for a minimum of six weeks and we would be grateful if you could share this information with your parents/carers. The full consultation document can be found HERE.
The proposed arrangements will also be available on Kent County Council’s website.
Any comments on the proposed sixth form admission changes can be made using the Online Response Form or, if you prefer you can respond in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to Denise Friend, Maidstone Grammar School, Barton Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 7BT. Paper copies are available on request. All responses to the consultation must be received by 4pm on Wednesday 12 January 2022. At the end of the consultation period, Maidstone Grammar School will give consideration to the responses received.
The school will then determine its arrangements for the academic year 2023-24, a copy of which will be published on the school website.
