Maidstone Grammar School Consultation on Admission Arrangements for September 2019
In accordance with the Department for Education’s School Admissions Code, Maidstone Grammar School is consulting with parents, the Local Authority and other interested parties regarding proposed changes to our Admission Arrangements for September 2019. The consultation will run for a minimum of 6 weeks commencing on Wednesday 6 December 2017 and closing on Friday 19 January 2018. The proposed changes include:
- Criterion 2 of our over subscription criteria has been amended to include a pass mark figure. The intention of the criterion has not changed i.e. to ensure an intake from the wider geographical area that the School has historically served.
- Criterion 2, 3 and 4 of our over subscription criteria have been amended to include children on Free School Meals as the first priority before siblings and distance.
- Our Sixth Form admissions criteria has also been amended to include Free School Meals in our oversubscription criteria.
The full proposed Admission Arrangements can be viewed in the document available below. This would apply to children starting at Maidstone Grammar School in September 2019. Paper copies are available on request.
